TO celebrate the 110th Anniversary of Beatrix Potter’s beloved classic Peter Rabbit, Happy Birthday Peter Rabbit, a mischievous musical about the world’s most lovable bunny will come to Hobsons Bay.
The Tale of Peter Rabbit, which was published in 1902, has inspired generations of fans with audiences young and old turning out to watch the musical.
Producer Garry Ginivan said the show, which will perform at 50 destinations across Australia, has been enjoyed by grandparents, parents and children alike.
“Many adults come without kids,” he said.
“We’ve only just started and we have 17 weeks of touring to go.”
Mr Ginivan said the story’s timelessness is what makes it so popular.
The musical transports audiences back to where it all started, in Mr McGregor’s garden, more than a century ago.
