WILLIAMSTOWN will again play host to an auto spectacular event where the cars are guaranteed to shine.
This year’s Show and Shine event “Aces By The Bay” will be held on Sunday 17 November at the Seaworks Maritime Precinct.
The event is organised by the Smokin’ Aces Rod, Muscle and Custom Club who have been incorporated since 2007.
“They are a good bunch of blokes and have a common interest of loving cars and setting standards of quality well-maintained vehicles pre-1971,” Smokin’ Aces Club President David Portelli said.
Mr Portelli said the inaugural event was held last year with great success, with more than 300 cars and 3000 people through the gates.
“This event shows the commitment of all club members to achieve such a well-run event which entertains the whole family and promotes the Smokin’ Aces Club.”
He said the club was driven to make the event a success for all attending and for their charity, Challenge Kids with Cancer.
Mr Portelli said proceeds from the day will go toward the excellent charity organisation.
“All the members are grateful and feel a sense of achievement in helping this great charity which does so much for these kids and families that are going through testing times.”
Rock ’n’ roll band Itchy Fingers will pump out tunes throughout the day, with a dance floor for all to show their talent.
Trophies awarded to cars in separate categories and best-dressed rock ’n’ rollers also.
An event raffle with some excellent prizes, volunteers with cash tins and the Gellibrand Rotary Club will assist in raising funds throughout the day.
Mr Portelli said the timing of funds raised would assist in the children’s Christmas present wish list.
“Everyone is welcome to enjoy the sites and cars on display and assist in donating for Challenge Kids with Cancer. There is plenty to see do and eat, just a great family outing.”
