TWO females, attempting to steal an electrical appliance in Sunshine last Thursday, inflicted minor injuries on a security guard as they fled the crime scene.
Police said as the women escaped, they attacked the staff member of the Hampshire Rd store with a screwdriver, dropping the machine they were trying to steal in the process.
Ambulance Victoria said the security guard, aged in his 60s, was treated for a minor injury afterwards but was not taken to hospital.
The women escaped from the Hampshire Rd shop in a car, but then allegedly tried a similar stunt at another electrical store nearby. Brimbank CIU is investigating the crime.
