Service station armed robbery

A SERVICE station attendant was threatened with a screwdriver during a Deer Park armed robbery earlier this month.
Police said the incident occurred at around 5.50am on Sunday 13 November, when one of the two burglars entered the Station Rd business, while the other waited at the door.
The offender demanded cash, jumped over the counter and threatened the male employee, before grabbing cigarettes and money out of a cash register.
The pair of robbers then ran away down Ballarat Rd. Police searched the area and recovered some cash which was dropped in Billingham Reserve, but were unable to locate the offenders who were described as possibly being of Pacific Islander appearance.
