WORKS are under way for the $48.5 million Kororoit Creek Rd duplication project.
The Altona rail level crossing on Kororoit Creek Rd is being removed with the final two lane section of Kororoit Creek Rd between Grieve Parade and Millers Rd to be upgraded as a four-lane divided road, with an overpass over the Melbourne-Geelong rail line.
Roads and Ports Minister Tim Pallas said the project would improve safety and road network connections for local people in Melbourne’s West, while providing a boost for manufacturing and warehousing businesses based in and around Altona’s industrial precinct.
