Council boosts family services

HOBSONS Bay City Council is implementing two new services for families and children in the municipality.
The Altona Meadows Occasional Care Centre last week began trial extensions to its operating hours in an attempt to better accommodate families using the service.
Two existing sessions will be extended by one hour and an additional one will be introduced.
The council has also employed a family resource and development officer to set up new playgroups and provide support to parent groups and disadvantaged families.
