WHAT do a scriptwriter, an author, a sports journalist and a teen author have in common?
The four writers, Jutta Goetze, Alice Pung, Steven Milne and Alexandra Adornetto, will form a panel at the Williamstown Literary Festival and discuss how they turned their writing skills into a living.
They were also selected to be part of the festival’s youth component by a group of four students who were able to direct the project after Hobsons Bay City Council awarded a Youth Voice Grant. The teens, Veronica Ferrie, Eddie Saxby, Zoe Kean and Bella Miller all share a passion for all things literary.
Their program also includes a rap workshop and a Harry Potter Book Club.
Young writers will also be given the chance to read from their own works and enter online competitions and forums.
The festival will be held at the Williamstown Town Hall on 4-6 May.
