Retail survey views sought

MELTON City residents are being encouraged to take part in an interactive online survey and have their say on shopping in Melton.
The retail and activities areas strategy survey will close on Tuesday 30 April.
The council hopes the survey will help them to better understand how residents use existing activity centres and to ensure the community has access to effective, equitable and sustainable services, as well as job opportunities in the future.
Activity areas include places that attract people for shopping, working, studying, recreation and socialising.
Melton City mayor Kathy Majdlik said it was important residents provided feedback.
“We want to know where you shop for clothes and furniture, what your favourite local place to grab a quick coffee or bite to eat is and what kind of shops you wish we had within the City of Melton,” she said.
The key aims of the strategy are to identify the appropriate size, location and functions of the various activity areas within the municipality so that the needs of current and future residents can be met.
Residents can take the survey by visiting www.shopmeltoncity.com.au
