WILLIAMSTOWN’S very own Cupcake Queens will celebrate their third birthday on 1 May, proving the delectable treats and company reign supreme on taste and service.
The Cupcake Queens have been baking cupcakes in Williamstown since May 2010 and have since opened three more stores in Albert Park, Armadale and Moonee Ponds.
“It’s exciting to have four stores that are family owned and not franchised,” owner Monique Milenkovic said.
Mrs Milenkovic was encouraged to start the business by her husband and co-owner Jac after she could not find a store that baked cupcakes for her own wedding.
“I couldn’t find anything suitable and realised there was a gap in the market … I started baking cupcakes as a hobby.”
“To me, the perfect cupcake is something that looks and tastes great.”
Mrs Milenkovic credits the success of the business that has consistently been voted in Melbourne’s best, to a delicious and quality product, exceptional customer service and their loyal customers.
“Our customers have been important to us since day one and making sure we are providing the right product and listening to them.”
“We use quality ingredients – for example, we use real vanilla beans in our cupcakes and icing.”
“We use local and fresh ingredients, and that makes a huge difference to the taste, we also bake fresh daily.”
“I’ve believed in the product and thought it would be a success, but didn’t realise how quickly and what scale our business would grow to.”
The Cupcake Queens cater for every special occasion including weddings and corporate functions, and have more than 20 scrumptious cupcake flavours in store daily to choose from.
The selection of cupcakes includes double choc, cookies and cream, orange, choc mint, caramel and the world famous red velvet.
They also make giant cupcakes and have an online store which offers same day delivery.
