Young people and job seekers are invited to attend this year’s City of Melton careers expo later this month.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet employers, career representatives and training providers and learn about career options, universities, educational institutes and apprenticeships.
The annual event provides school leavers, students, graduates, job seekers and those considering a career change with a range of career and further education information.
It also provides parents, guardians and carers with information to support young people as they consider their future study and career options.
Mayor Kathy Majdlik encouraged young people and job seekers to attend the expo.
“The careers expo is a great way for young people and job seekers to access valuable information on a range of career and study options as well as gaining advice on matters such as writing a professional resume,” Cr Majdlik said.
“The event also provides an opportunity for people to speak with training providers and employers directly about some of the career options available.”
The expo will be held at Melton Community Hall on Wednesday, 31 July between 10am and 3pm for schools and from 4pm until 8.30pm for the community.
Entry is free.
