A YOUNG Williamstown driver had his licence suspended after police caught him driving at more than 30km over the speed limit in Brooklyn on 14 July.
Officers from the Hobsons Bay Highway Patrol intercepted the man, aged 20, travelling at 113km/h in an 80km/h zone along the Westgate Freeway.
He was also fined more than $460 and incurred four demerit points.
In addition, the male received an additional fine of $144 and three demerit points for not displaying his P-plates.
The day before, police detected a teenager from Hillside travelling at 110km/h in an 80km/h zone along the Westgate Freeway in Altona North.
The 18-year-old woman was fined $397 and had her licence suspended for a month.
The Highway Patrol Unit also caught a 35-year-old Delahey man travelling at 106km/h in a 70km/h zone along Grieve Parade in Altona North on 10 July.
On the same day, they apprehended a Hoppers Crossing man, 24, driving at 112km/h in am 80km/h zone along the Princes Highway, Brooklyn.
In the evening, a 23-year-old Cairnlea woman was detected travelling at 89km/h in a 60km/h zone along Dohertys Rd in Laverton North.
She was fined $397, had her licence suspended for one month, and incurred four demerit points.
