A STUNNING parade that will showcase the area’s past fashions this century is coming to Williamstown.
Frock up Melbourne is getting ready to tell the suburb’s story in costume since 1913 with original outfits from every decade of the past 100 years.
Seaworks Maritime Precinct will host Frock Up Melbourne with the Fashioning Williamstown Exhibition.
The event will be staged over two days on Saturday 27 July and Sunday 28 July.
Organisers said the event will shed light on what a star attraction would have worn to musical entertainment in 1913, or what was worn to the Royal Garden Party in 1927.
Other costumes will help tell the story among the midst of the end of the war celebrations in the streets of Williamstown, or what a bride would have worn in the 1950s at her Willie Town Hall reception.
Frock Up Melbourne is a vintage fashion event with dealers from all over the country offering vintage fashions, accessories, jewellery, fashion collectable and homewares for sale.
In keeping with the Fashioning Williamstown theme, there will be a best Mr or Ms Vintage Melbourne attending the fair, to be judged on Sunday at 1pm.
