THERE is still time for local businesses to nominate for the 2011 Hobsons Bay Business Excellence Awards.
Nominations close on Wednesday 31 August and all businesses in Hobsons Bay are eligible to enter.
There are 10 categories, including: new/start up business; retail; hospitality; tourism; transport and logistics; manufacturing and industrial; professional services; not for profit/community; franchise, and; home-based business.
In addition to these categories, the judges will be awarding three winners from all entries to win the environment and sustainable business award, good access/good business award and the business of the year award.
Hobsons Bay mayor Michael Raffoul will also announce three Mayor’s Encouragement Awards to explore businesses making a unique contribution to the community through corporate citizenship and innovation.
A panel of highly qualified and experienced judges will critique nominated businesses on exceptional service and business know-how.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner at the Williamstown Town Hall on Friday 21 October.
