SUNSHINE detectives are appealing for public information, after a man was assaulted in Albion earlier this month.
The 52-year-old was viciously attacked in his own home, after opening the door to a burglar on 9 August.
The man was sleeping, when he was awoken by a knock at the door of his Ridley St apartment block shortly after 8am.
Believing another resident had locked himself out, the man left his flat and opened the door, unwittingly leading his attacker into the building.
Once inside, the robber demanded money before assaulting his victim.
A fight broke out, and the victim received minor injuries, including a graze to his face and leg injuries.
The robber pulled out a pair of scissors, and threatened him before fleeing the building.
Detectives from Sunshine’s Criminal Investigation Unit are investigating, and are searching for witnesses.
