Peeking at pelicans

CURIOUS children, like Isac, right, can get up close and personal with a stuffed pelican at the Altona Library. The marine bird resides at a glass display case at the Hobsons Bay City Council library and often attracts young onlookers who are keen to take a peek at the majestic fowl. The pelican was immortalised after flying into a power line and dying. To take a look at the library’s other stuffed animals call into 123 Queen St Altona between 9.30am-8pm Monday to Thursday, 9.30am-6pm on Friday or 10am-4pm on Saturday. 88662 Picture: DAMJAN JANEVSKI
