Cheers for Rail Link forum

By ALESHA CAPONE

BRIMBANK City Council’s administrators received a round of applause from the gallery when they voted to ask the Regional Rail Link Authority to hold another forum for Deer Park residents last night.
Several residents, who attended the meeting, clapped and cheered when the Chair of the Administrators, John Watson, put forward a motion which said the council would use their “best endeavours” to advocate for the RRL to hold a new community information forum.
Mr Watson put forward the motion after the council heard a report into the assessment of noise walls along the Deer Park rail corridor, which will be built as part of the RRL project.
