Man stable

A MAN remains in a stable condition after he fell from a roof in Caroline Springs last week.
Advanced life support paramedics from Sunshine and intensive care paramedics were called to the worksite to find the 42-year-old being cared for by workmates.
Paramedic Yuko Kasai said the man was on the roof and went to grab a section of scaffold but it gave way and he fell.
“I’d estimate the drop would have been about three metres,” Ms Kasai said.
“He told us that he landed on his back on top of a pile of rubble.
“Thankfully he said that he could remember the whole incident, but he had pain through his right shoulder and collarbone as well as through one side of his back.”
A neck brace was fitted to the patient, given the potential for him to have suffered a spinal injury. A spine board was also used to lift him from the ground, keeping him still and straight.
He was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
