Narrow defeat

KEILOR opener Shaun Guerra (pictured) made a superb half century, but his side still fell painfully short of victory against Yarraville Club in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association Senior Division competition on Saturday. Keilor lost the toss and bowled first, restricting the Clubbers to a manageable 8/164. But a slow start proved costly for Keilor, which scored just 15 runs from its opening 10 overs and finished on 6/153. Guerra (55) and Liam Ryan (31) put on 77, but wickets fell at regular intervals from there. Captain Matt Willmott hit 41, but was caught in the last over of the match. Keilor will next meet South Caulfield. 56838 Picture: KRISTIAN SCOTTKEILOR opener Shaun Guerra (pictured) made a superb half century, but his side still fell painfully short of victory against Yarraville Club in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association Senior Division competition on Saturday.
