DERRIMUT Village Shopping Centre was burgled last Monday, after offenders smashed the front window of the complex.
Police said the Mt Derrimut Rd centre was broken into around 4am, and the burglars attempted to force open an ATM in the foyer.
After being unsuccessful, they forced open cupboards in a jewellery store, smashed into a liquor store and attempted to damage the computer system in the shop.
Security officers attended, but the offenders, thought to have been three males wearing dark clothes, fled before they arrived.
The Brimbank Burglary Unit is investigating and has asked for anyone who may have seen a silver-coloured sedan or anyone acting suspiciously to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
