Australians all let us rejoice

Six-year-old Ivan will be among hundreds of Brimbank locals to celebrate Australia Day this Thursday when council hosts a special citizenship ceremony followed by a family barbecue and entertainment. One hundred and eighty conferees will take the pledge to become Australian citizens at Kevin Wheelahan Gardens in Sunshine this year. A barbecue and entertainment program will be held from 2pm with rap, hip hop, R&B and African rhythm performances. Young people will be encouraged to rap on stage between acts with local DJs spinning tracks.
