EIGHT years ago, Jose Estrada Garcia said goodbye to his girlfriend as she hopped from Columbia on a plane to move to Australia. Three months later, unable to live without her, he hopped on a plane after her. For the past eight years they have made life together and now call Australia home. This Thursday, the couple along with 79 other Hobsons Bay residents will become Australia’s newest citizens at a special Australia Day ceremony at the Williamstown Town Hall.
