A MAN underwent emergency surgery on Sunday after he was stabbed at a Spotswood hotel.
The stabbing at a Hudsons Rd hotel happened about 7.30pm on Sunday when two residents were involved in a scuffle in the hallway, police said.
One man armed with a Stanley knife stabbed the other man in the chest.
The injured man, 47, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital where he underwent surgery.
Police charged a 48-year-old man with recklessly and intentionally causing injury.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday).
