HOBSONS Bay City Council is calling on residents to make a positive contribution to the local environment by getting involved in Australia’s biggest community tree planting and nature care event on Sunday 29 July.
National Tree Day events are taking place in Hobsons Bay at Truganina Park, Andrew Park Dr, Altona Meadows.
Activities run from 10am to 1pm and all residents are invited to take part.
Hobsons Bay Mayor Councillor Tony Briffa urged the community to lend a hand.
“We are encouraging residents to connect with the community and get involved in National Tree Day,” Cr Briffa said.
National Tree Day is organised by Planet Ark in partnership with Toyota and its Dealer network, which provide on the ground support at local community tree planting sites around Australia.
