BUNNINGS in Altona North has helped the Williamstown Blue Light Disco solve its storage problems by donating a garden shed at cost price.
The new shed was installed by Bunnings members at the Newport Baptist Church last Wednesday.
Victoria has 41 Blue Light Disco’s operating throughout the state.
Off duty police and civilians are involved in the disco supervisions.
Its aim is for children to have fun in a safe environment in which to enjoy themselves. The Blue Light concept came into being in 1976 when a group of Police held a disco in Mooroolbark, Victoria. Since then the Blue Light has become a key element in the Victoria Police “Pro-Active” strategy.
