A TAXI driver who attended a call to a property in Jade Way in Hillside on 7 March was allegedly threatened by a male with what was believed to be a handgun.
A police spokeswoman said no shots were fired and the driver was not injured.
“It’s very much a fast-moving and active job,” she said.
Police said it wasn’t clear whether any threats were made or if cash was demanded.
A 19-year-old male later surrendered to police and has been remanded in custody in relation to firearms and drug-related offences.
Meanwhile, in the early hours of 12 March, shots were fired damaging a neighbour’s property during a dispute between two parties.
It is alleged that at approximately 5.55am a woman, known to one of the parties, approached the man with the firearm and was assaulted.
Police arrested and interviewed a 67-year-old man in relation to assault and firearm offences. The man was remanded into custody to appear at court at a later date.
