SUNSHINE has become home to a new and innovative container office complex.
Australia’s largest shipping container company, Royal Wolf, last week officially opened their one of a kind customer service centre on Fairbairn Road.
The centre, which has been operating in Sunshine for several years, will now be fronted by an architecturally designed and custom-built office using a variety of Royal Wolf containers.
The opening was celebrated with the “Festival of Container Ideas” last Thursday with guest speaker AFL legend Mick Malthouse also addressing the crowd.
CEO of Royal Wolf Robert Allan said the new facility also incorporated state of the art workshops and one of the largest painting booths in the southern hemisphere.
“Royal Wolf chose this facility to build the new office as the Sunshine depot is one of Royal Wolf’s largest operations and has long been a hub for this industry,” Mr Allan said.
“Melbourne is also a major container port with high volumes of container movements,” he said.
“Shipping containers today are being used to solve a wide range of business challenges, from accommodation quarters, to mobile exhibition spaces, portable storage options, retail outlets, training facilities and innovative construction projects,” he said.
“We are constantly amazed by new ideas.”
The event showcased the retail spaces, product displays and production facilities, with a range of containers and container ideas on display.
