Police seek help over assault

117203_01 Police have released a photo of a man they wish to speak to regarding an assault in Williamstown.

DETECTIVES are appealing for information after a woman was indecently assaulted in Williamstown earlier this month.
Footscray Sexual Offence and Child Abuse Investigation detectives have been told the woman got off a train at Newport Railway Station and walked along Williamstown Rd towards Williamstown, when she noticed a man perform a u-turn and slowly drive in her direction about 12.40am on Wednesday, March 12.
The man, driving a small red car, yelled out to the woman and attempted to get her attention.
He continued to follow the woman as she walked through Robertson Reserve before he parked his car on Cecil St and followed her on foot into Hanmer St where he indecently assaulted her near the intersection of Thompson St.
The offender then ran from the scene.
Police have described the man as caucasian in appearance, about 182 cm tall with an olive complexion, dark hair, skinny build and aged in his twenties.
He was wearing a grey ‘hoodie’ and dark coloured track pants.
