POLICE are searching for a man who attempted to rob a home and assaulted a resident in St Albans on 12 May this year.
The victim was at his View St property when he heard a knock on the door at about 10.20am.
As he unlocked the door, he was pushed aside and assaulted by a stranger.
The offender grabbed his victim’s mobile phone before entering a bedroom and taking a laptop.
However the burglar dropped the items and fled when the victim picked up a landline phone and said he would call the police.
The offender was last seen driving away in a small red hatchback.
The burglar is described as Caucasian and 183-188cm tall with long, dark curly shoulder length hair, a small goatee beard and brown eyes.
He had a scar above his left eye which appeared to be from an old piercing.
He was wearing a dark blue hoodie with an image of two large, metallic silver or gold revolvers on the back and a belt with a large oval-shaped buckle, which was gold in colour and had two guns on it.
