Potter returns after a spell away

WILLIAMSTOWN has welcomed back former Seagulls development side coach Adam Potter to the club for the 2013 season.
Potter has been the senior coach at Coburg for the past two years but will return to Williamstown to work alongside head coach Peter German.
Seagulls general manager Brendan Curry said Potter would be a key addition to the club’s coaching staff for 2013 and beyond.
“We are thrilled that Adam would want to return to the Seagulls as we enter a very exciting time in our club’s history,” Curry said.
“Adam will play a key role in not only providing great support to senior coach Peter German but will also be heavily involved in our list management and recruiting.
“Adam has learnt so much in the last two years as senior coach of Coburg and working closely with the Richmond Football Club.
“This knowledge can only benefit our club as we aim to develop a strong VFL list which took giant strides in 2012.”
Potter is bringing a history of success to the Seagulls after he took the club’s development side to a grand final in 2010 before making the move to Coburg.
He said he was excited to be making a return to the Seagulls in 2013.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the year I had at the club in 2010 and look forward to becoming involved again over the course of the pre-season heading into next year,” Potter said.
“Peter German is a great coach and I learnt a lot from him in 2010 and he supported me in taking the role I have had over the past two years at Coburg.
“I look forward to working with him again.
“The VFL is a great competition and I always wanted to stay involved in a coaching capacity and it was an easy choice in coming back to Williamstown.”
