Go fly a kite

COLOURFUL kites will fly this weekend as Sydenham hosts its annual spring kite festival. Brimbank Council is encouraging residents, like five-year-old Kalia Javornik to enjoy the fun-filled day, which will be hosted by participants of the Sydenham District Leadership Program, this Sunday at Delahey Recreation Reserve from 1pm. Pack a picnic or grab a snag off the barbecue and fly your own kite or pick one up on the day at no charge. Children will be entertained by D’Frog, a big red fire truck and special giant kite demonstrations. 72290 Picture: JOE MASTROIANNICOLOURFUL kites will fly this weekend as Sydenham hosts its annual spring kite festival.
