RESIDENTS from Melbourne’s West will have a chance to ask questions and speak their minds to the Prime Minister when she and other influential Labor ministers visit Werribee.
Prime Minister Gillard, Ministers Nicola Roxon, Brendan O’Connor and Bill Shorten, will be at Werribee Primary School on 9 November to hold a Community Cabinet to discuss key local, state and national issues that directly affect people living in the western suburbs.
The Prime Minister said it was a unique opportunity for residents to voice their concerns over current issues.
“This event will provide Western Melbourne residents with the opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues with a number of Federal Ministers,” Ms Gillard said.
“This is democracy in action and I’m happy that I have been able to bring this important event to the West”.
As part of the Community Cabinet, Ministers will also hold one-on-one meetings with local residents on a range of issues. To attend the meeting residents need to register by visiting www.pm.gov.au/community-cabinet.
