HOBSONS Bay City Council has planned a host of events to celebrate next week’s International Day of People with a Disability.
While the official day is not until Monday, activities kick off tomorrow (Wednesday) with an awards ceremony recognising organisations that provide excellent disabled access.
“I encourage local residents to come along to these events and join in with the celebrations on International Day of People with a Disability.”
Other activities include a Destination Funk Dance Party on Friday at Laverton Civic Complex, a Celebrating Diversity event at Altona Meadows Library and a Decent Work for People with a Disability Forum on Monday at Hobsons Bay Civic Centre.
