ONE Sunshine North resident has made an art out of doodling – literally.
Rosa Salvatore will be putting her latest abstract paintings on exhibition at the Louis Joel Gallery in Altona.
“I started a bit later when I was in my 30s,” she said.
“But I’ve been doing these abstract paintings like free hand doodling for years.
“It’s very relaxing.”
Rosa’s upcoming exhibition, Imagination Within will be her third solo exhibition.
“This exhibition is about showing people anybody can express themselves via art,” she said.
“It’s a part of you and your self-expression.”
Rosa said she was eagerly looking forward to her latest exhibition.
“I love how people can see different things in my art,” she said.
The artist says she began painting after suffering from anxiety – eight years later it has become a huge part of her life.
“It’s a great form of therapy,” she said.
Rosa’s exhibition, which features works with paints and texters, expresses her love of colour.
“I have been able to create a world that exists only within me,” Rosa said.
“My love of colour and art has inspired me for many years and I feel such gratitude when I can share it.”
Imagination Within will be on display at the Joel Gallery from 6 to13 July.
