AN ALTONA golf club will hold a special day to raise money for charity next month. On 8 August, the Mayor’s Trainee Professional Golf Day will be held at the Kooringal Golf Club. Kooringal Golf Club board member Les Haywood, assistant pro golfer Chris Mierzwa and Hobsons Bay mayor Michael Raffoul are looking forward to the event. Although the day is fully booked up for competitors, spectators will be welcome and can join the barbecue for a gold coin donation.
