ONE person’s scribble is another person’s art.
That’s the motto Visy Cares Hub’s newest interior decorators stand by.
The Sunshine youth centre recently ran a legal graffiti program to encourage Brimbank teenagers to pursue their art on the right side of the law.
The youngsters aged between 15 and 19 were given cans of spray paint and the centre’s youth room as their canvas.
Their colourful creations were unveiled last week and now occupy pride of place at the centre.
Kirsti Campbell, youth worker from Djerriwarrh Employment and Education Services, said the program had enjoyed great success and had even convinced some teenagers to turn away from tagging.
Ms Campbell said the program had attracted groups of up to eight youths every week.
