BRIMBANK’S administrators and CEO will preside over a new risk management committee to ensure council steers clear of any possible storms.
The council’s administrators last week ruled to establish the committee, following a major review of its present risk management framework.
CEO Nick Foa said the new system would ensure council appropriately managed both strategic and operational risks in line with other councils.
The council’s Audit Committee was previously responsible for overseeing risk management.
The new committee will be made up of the council’s three administrators and CEO, along with relevant council officers.
Mr Foa told Star there would be no expense involved in setting up the committee.
