MORE than 960 milk cartons have been used to build a rather unique igloo at a Sunshine North school. Teachers at the Sunshine Christian School have engaged students in the igloo’s construction process to teach them about mathematics, literacy and art. Grade 5 and 6 teacher Michelle Clarke said 963 milk cartons contributed by five cafes, 1.5kg of hot glue sticks and a set of fairy lights were used to build the igloo, which took four weeks to build. Pupils Julia-Ana, Glory and Nikki were among those to check out the finished product. 110639 Picture: SUPPLIED
