POLICE are hunting a man who exposed himself to a group of young girls outside a Hobsons Bay primary school.
Altona North Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Tim O’Connor said police were investigating reports a man exposed his genitals to students at Altona North Primary School on Monday 19 May.
“Obviously for young kids to witness this sort of thing, it can have quite a traumatic affect, Det Sen Sgt O’Connor said.
He said police patrols of the area had been increased in an effort to catch the offender.
The man is described as being in his mid-30s, about 178cm tall with black greying hair.
He was wearing a dark-coloured hat, red T-shirt and grey jeans.
“We’re asking people to keep a lookout for anyone fitting that description or behaving suspiciously in the vicinity of the primary school and report any suspicious activity to police,” Det Sen Sgt O’Connor said.
