TWO men have been charged in relation to the suspicious disappearance of Deer Park man Ricky Lee Ganly during April last year.
Last Wednesday, police arrested a 30-year-old Avoca male in Avoca at about 10.30am.
The man faced an out-of-sessions court hearing and has been charged with one count of being an accessory to murder.
A 28-year-old Maryborough man has been charged with one count of murder.
A male’s body, believed to be that of Mr Ganly, was located in a submerged car at an abandoned Avoca mine shaft last year.
Police and divers searching the water-filled mine on Homebush Rd located both the vehicle and a rifle.
Mr Ganly, aged 48, was last seen by his girlfriend on 28 April 2013, at her house in Doherty St, Deer Park, when he told her he would return home in an hour.
Mr Ganly’s phone and bank accounts have not been accessed since.
