Sam is king of the sea

OLYMPICS prospect and dual Pier to Pub winner Sam Sheppard took out the weekend’s Jalna Big Bay Swim for the second time. The 3.2km swim from Port Melbourne to Williamstown was just a warm-up for the 21-year-old, who’s set to swim in the 1500-metre London Olympics qualifying trial in Adelaide next month. The weather couldn’t have been more cooperative with a record number of competitors. All proceeds from the event will help charities supported by the Rotary Club of Point Gellibrand. 77592 Picture: KRISTIAN SCOTTOLYMPICS prospect and dual Pier to Pub winner Sam Sheppard took out the weekend’s Jalna Big Bay Swim for the second time.
