HOBSONS Bay City Council has indicated its intention to close a road next to the Titanic Restaurant at 1 Nelson Pl, Williams-town.
A council report said the road had not been open to vehicles for many years because “it has been obstructed by encroachments and improvements that have formed part of the Titanic Theatre Restaurant’s operations”.
The report also found that pedestrian use of the road was, “extremely limited”.
However, it noted that if the road was closed to cars, “a part of the road will still remain open for pedestrian access”.
If discontinued, the land that formed the road would be sold to the operators of the Titanic Restaurant, the report said.
