A NEW sports initiative will encourage Brimbank kids to get up and get active this year.
The In2Sport Brimbank program will provide subsidised sport club memberships to eligible children living in the municipality.
In2Sport Brimbank will give children the opportunity to take part in community sport and recreation, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Chair of Brimbank City Council John Watson was thrilled to announce the initiative and hoped that it would be well-received by the community.
“This is a great opportunity for families with children wanting to participate in a sport, who previously may not have been able to afford club membership, to get involved,” Mr Watson said.
Mr Watson said the allocated funding would benefit at least 100 children and strongly encouraged parents of eligible children to submit an application.
