NEARLY a decade ago two ladies made a commitment to provide superior gowns to help make every girl’s dream wedding come to life – and they’ve kept their promise.

Margaret Cosmas and Joanne Cooper opened the doors to Wedding Promises bridal shop in Melton in 2004.

Today the ladies, who together have more than 60 years’ experience in the bridal industry, pride themselves on supplying the latest fashions for a range of special occasions.

They even offer a professional alteration service.

“It’s very hard to get a dressmaker, it’s a dying art, they can come here and have everything done in the one place,” Ms Cosmas said.

Wedding Promises will be among 50 suppliers showcased when the West Waters Hotel and Entertainment Complex in Caroline Spring hosts the largest wedding expo in the West.

The Wedding Expo will showcase florists, photographers, celebrants, hair and make-up artists, travel agents, wedding cars, entertainment, bonbonniere, wedding gowns/suits, jewellers and more.

Free show bags will be given to all brides-to-be with special discounts and offers from suppliers.

The event is the brainchild of Caroline Springs Based photographer and Extreme Exposure Photography owner, Brenton Spiteri.

Mr Spiteri said the expo will take the stress out of shopping around for what’s likely to be one of the most important days of any soon-to-be bride and groom.

“We’ve been quite picky with who exhibits because we want the expo’s visitors to have access to quality businesses who’ll do the best by their client.”

The free Wedding Expo will be held on 10 February from 10am to 3pm at Lake St, Caroline Springs.

Bridal Promises is located at shop 4 239-255 High St Melton.
