A 29-YEAR-OLD Williamstown man has been charged and remanded in custody at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
The Westgate Vehicle Crime Investigation Team (CIT) arrested the man in Burnside after an investigation into a burglary in Altona last Tuesday.
A search warrant was executed at Narooma Ave, Burnside, where it’s alleged a number of firearms, ammunition, prohibited weapons and stolen property was seized.
The man, who is believed to have links to the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang, was arrested and interviewed by police before attending a remand hearing at the Altona North police station.
The man was charged and remanded with deception offences at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court the next day.
