A GUN-WIELDING senior citizen was arrested after police received reports of him running through a house in Sunshine West last Monday night.
Police were called to a Mailey St home around 8pm, and discovered a man with facial injuries, but the gunman had fled the scene.
The victim’s wife and children were also home at the time, but were not harmed.
Shortly after the incident, Keilor Downs police arrested a 71-year-old man in Sunshine and charged him with making threats to kill, assault with a weapon, recklessly causing injury and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
The man appeared in the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court last Tuesday morning.
