CAROLINE Springs singer-songwriter Stephanie Angelini is hitting all the right notes with her magical voice.
The 20-year-old musician with a love for pop, folk and musical theatre is set to make a splash in the music industry following the launch of her first original song ‘Something Magical’.
Stephanie, who has always enjoyed singing along to classic hits, said she discovered her musical talent after taking up singing lessons in her first year of high school.
“I just ended up loving it and found out I had a natural ability. I think it came from a young age. I never really realised it but I think I have always enjoyed singing,” Stephanie said.
The talented songstress also studies midwifery at the Australian Catholic University and spends most of her spare time writing new lyrics, performing on stage or uploading songs to her YouTube channel.
Stephanie said the music industry can be very competitive and in the beginning she would always compare herself to other singers.
“I always felt that I had to change my voice but it wasn’t until two years ago that I realised that I am an individual, this is my style, this is who I am and I started really developing my voice.”
Stephanie said years of practice and performing in front of a live audience had helped her overcome her initial shyness and insecurities.
“Now that I’ve been doing gigs here and there I have found that my nerves have settled down a lot more because I think I am constantly doing it and I am used to being on the stage and performing,” Stephanie said.
“But you know what? Having nerves isn’t a bad thing because it keeps you going and keeps it exciting.”
Stephanie performs live at Ace’s Place restaurant in Caroline Springs every Friday from 7pm.
