Long wait for loved ones

JOHNNY Le is one of the lucky ones.
Last week police asked for help to find the Kings Park 16-year-old who had been missing for more than a month.
Within 24 hours Johnny was back with his family.
He is one of the thousands of Australians who go missing every year – not all of whom are found.
This week is National Missing Persons Week when police and families will ramp up the search for their missing loved ones.
One of those people is Veronica Green, who has not been seen since she left her Ardeer home for the Albion Railway Station on Friday 13 February 1976.
The then 38-year-old parked her grey Morris Minor at the station and caught the train to the city for work, but never returned to pick the car up.
Veronica left all of her possessions at home and has not been seen or heard from since.
Police believe Veronica, who would now be 74 years old, may have gotten her truck licence and worked throughout Australia in the transport industry.
At the time of her disappearance she was 165 centimetres with a medium build, green eyes, red hair and a fair complexion.
People with information regarding the whereabouts of Ms Green, or any other missing person, are urged to contact the Victoria Police Missing Persons Desk on 1800 808 606 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
