POLICE are searching for a gunman after a shot was fired into a house at North Haven on Saturday.
About 4.15pm, the occupants of a house on The Parade discovered a bullet hole in the garage door of the premises.
Police were contacted and attended the house where they established a crime scene and canvassed the area.
No-one was injured in the shooting.
Detectives from the Mid North Coast Local Area Command are continuing their investigations into the matter.
They are appealing for anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the vicinity of The Parade between 3.45pm and 4.15pm on Saturday to contact police.
Meanwhile, police are still searching for a man who held up a restaurant in Port Macquarie last week.
About 9.10pm on Tuesday 27 August, two employees and two patrons were in Flavours restaurant on Watonga Street.
A man was cleaning in the kitchen when he was confronted by a man who had his face concealed and was armed with a knife.
A 28-year-old woman employee noticed the man and asked patrons to contact police.
After attempting to open one cash register unsuccessfully, the man eventually grabbed cash from another till and fled on foot along Bourne Street.
No-one was injured during the robbery.
Police are looking for a man they believe can assist with their investigation. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 183cm tall and with a slim build.
He is believed to be in his late teens or early twenties and was wearing a black ‘hoodie’, tracksuit pants and running shoes.
