AUSTRALIAN rock band You Am I will headline this year’s Festival of the Sun in Port Macquarie.
The line-up for the two-day December festival was announced this week, with You Am I to be joined by the likes of The Rubens, Ash Grunwald (featuring Scott and Andy from The Living End), The Beards, Kingswood, Stonefield, Spit Syndicate, The Basics and Glass Towers.
Because the Festival of the Sun opens on Friday the 13th, the event will pack at Black Friday theme and prizes will be given for best dressed.
Tickets to one of summer’s most intimate beachside festivals will go on sale on September 3 at 10am through the Festival of the Sun website – www.fotsun.com
As usual, there will only be 3000 tickets available, so you will want to be quick.
A brainchild of Scott Meriti and Simon Luke, the Festival of the Sun is held at the Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park and has become an institution in Port Macquarie.
Some of the biggest names in Australian music have played at the boutique festival, while many fresh faces have kick-started their career after performing in Port Macquarie.
