Tunnel of talent in Come to Bits

It’s time to laugh out loud at a top Port Macquarie venue this coming February.

Pub Plays Australia, the country’s newest theatre company, will be visiting Port Macquarie, performing its premiere production ‘Come to Bits’ at the Town Green Inn on Saturday, February 5.

Directed by NIDA and London trained performer Wayen Van Keren, ‘Come to Bits’ is a two-act dinner show all about “Talent”.

Set in a fictitious country town, it is a riotous foray into what floats to the
surface when the townspeople are courted for a talent show.

Diva Tea Ladies, a travelling salesman (or is it a woman?), bush poetry and Shakespeare all feature as Tobey (local Committee stalwart and self appointed MC) attempts to tie things together and present something “ordinary people” will like.

Stand-up comediennes, Kate Bush and Blondie, also make their way through the tunnel of talent that is ‘Come to Bits’.

“Every community has surprises just under the surface,” says Van Keren.

“All we do is bring it out in one evening. Having toured regional and remote Australia for over 10 years, we know that everyone will recognise at least one character that they know in this production.”

Tickets at each venue are limited, so booking is essential. Contact theTown Green Inn on 6580 7899.
